There is usually no separate "conference visa" category — you apply for the same visitor or business visitor visa, but with conference-specific supporting documents (invitation, registration, NOC). An informal email invitation is often not enough. Nurfik advises you to request a formal invitation letter on the organiser's official letterhead, addressed to you personally, stating the event name, dates, venue and your role.
